Welding is changing rapidly: digitalization, fewer hands, stricter regulations. Together with Lorch, we turned that shift into a new design logic
and defined a scalable strategy that transforms a complex product ecosystem into a coherent, future-ready experience.
Strategic framework first
Lorch stands for advanced welding technology – from intelligent controls to seamless cobot integration. To make this evolution tangible across all touchpoints, we developed a consistent design language that enhances usability, facilitates onboarding, and reinforces brand recognition.

Designed to scale
From materiality, color hierarchy, interface structure, and spatial composition, everything is synchronized.
Each decision follows a shared logic: scalable across product lines, aligned with user workflows, adaptable to future services and formats.
Start with the user
The welding torch serves as the primary interface between the human and the machine.
It became clear that in real-world conditions, grip and intuitive feedback often outweigh technical specifications. Welders operate under pressure, working with gloves, under time constraints, and with limited visibility.
We translated those needs and redesigned the torch from the ground up: balancing weight, shaping grip zones, and aligning geometry to motion.
The result is a handset that is both aesthetically pleasing and functionally well thought-out. With clear, modern lines and an ergonomic shape, we developed a product that makes work easier at the most critical touchpoint.
