The Shanghai studio is a bright and delightful open loft office, overlooking a piece of Shanghai's unique old neighbourhood and the inner street of Peninsula Bay with featured cafes and wine shops. Located on the North Bund area near Suzhou Creek, we are in one of the newly renovated red-brick factory buildings, among other art and design studios, branding, and e-commerce business units. We try our best to provide an open and supportive environment for our teams to thrive and achieve their full potentials. 

Your responsibilities

  • Create compelling designs based upon Ideation, Research and Product Requirements.
  • Executing designs that achieve feasibility at a production and engineering level.
  • Drive projects with targets and tight timelines to successful mass production.
  • Maintain quality assurance standards for design and color integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams (internal and external) to come up with holistic solutions.
  • Enjoy to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Work on product's mechanical modelling and production support.
  • Make surface modelling for low/medium complicated products in Creo and Solidworks, sometimes even in other CAD software such as NX.
  • Design functional prototype structure, and test prototype to verify the design.
  • Handle suppliers for model making and carry out inspections.
  • Search, sort out, build and maintain the manufacture vendor data base in different categories.
  • Provide creative technical solutions upfront, and problem solving during product development and production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Two or more years of experience in consumer product related field.
  • Good command of Creo(ProE) or Solidworks(free-form mofrlling preferred).
  • Strong spatial imagination, able to draw complex surfaces and structures.
  • Strong knowledge in mechanical structure development.
  • Familiarity with assembly processes in mass production.
  • Familiar with manufacturing technologies such as CNC, injection moulding, sheet metal stamping and die casting etc.
  • Acknowledge of electro-mechanical products.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong self-learning and problem-solving skills.
