Redefining versatility:.

Developing a modular product platform for a sustainable and economical strategy.

Product platform:

Added value for business, sustainability and user.

The new modular Kärcher high-pressure cleaner platform offers a complete product portfolio by saving 25% of the regular part numbers. The members of the product family have identical functional parts, what significantly reduces the carbon footprint.

The design provides an ideal system for mounting identical functional parts on different product sizes. Thanks to the normalized interface geometry, these replaceable modules can be attached very quickly and broken parts can be easily replaced. The modular layout of these products therefore offers a truly robust, powerful and user friendly Kärcher experience.

Good design is systemic and goes beyond the individual product.

Design process:
continuous innovation

Designing such a complex product platform requires a holistic approach. Throughout the entire process, keeping an eye on core requirements like cost, usability or manufacturability is inevitable, as well as constant iteration.

We don't settle for the first solution that comes along, we continue to develop further and further until every single detail is optimized for user, economy and environment.

Design for Business value.

The design we developed together with Kärcher is the bare essence of modularity, clever features and ergonomics, but also takes the challenge of sustainability and design to cost as well - an all around outstanding and promising product range. A design that is not only user friendly, perfectly functional but creates a bigger business value.
