The Chicago studio is a creative environment in a light-filled, open loft with a great view of the city's famous skyline. Centrally located in West Town, we’re nestled in the middle of a creative warehouse neighbourhood that's home to art and design studios, architectural salvage stores, and two pro sports teams. We enjoy biking to work, caffeinated beverages, and competitive lunchtime foosball in a pet-friendly environment.

From consumer-level kitchenwares to public transportation vehicles, his team-leading abilities have helped numerous projects achieve success across the globe. He continues to build on his expertise—focusing on material, process, and sustainability—to better meet the demands of future markets and the clients he serves.
Gerry Mayer
Product Design Engineering Manager
With a background in the aerospace industry and over 13 years of experience in electrical engineering and industrial design, Gerry leads TEAMS Chicago's R&D for new product development through design engineering and hands-on prototyping. His work bridges creative vision and technical precision, making use of rapid iteration to turn early ideas into functional, thoughtful results.

Strategic Design Director
With over two decades of experience across consulting, corporate, and academic settings, Michael brings a holistic approach to industrial design. His expertise spans from consumer goods and automotive to fashion and tools, combining creative vision with technical precision. At TEAMS Chicago, he mentors multidisciplinary teams and guides projects from first sketch to final prototype, turning ideas into meaningful, life-improving products.
