Our Approach: We formed a cross-functional team with the development and marketing departments of BOSCH to consider every aspect of the design. As an exceptionally compact power tool that fits any hand, even the smallest detail of the IXO had to be meticulously crafted to create an outstanding product - together. Through an agile, highly iterative process, we found the sweet spot between ergonomics, cost, user experience, and manufacturability.

Only through continuous testing can a concept be brought precisely to life and hit the mark in exactly the way that excites users. The iterative process using rapid prototyping allowed us to continually optimize IXO through the process and quickly identify areas for potential improvement to ensure that the final product meets the highest standards of quality, functionality and user needs.

CAD: DESIGN REALIZATION
We support our clients through the entire design process, from the initial research, through the concept, to the realization in manufacturable products. For IXO, a detailed elaboration in CAD (computer-aided design) was an important, final step in the implementation of a well-elaborated concept. Starting with the parts concept and Class A surfacing through to tooling-ready CAD data, the design of the IXO was developed with care and precision and finalized in the finished product.
