These salad spoons are perfect examples of what design
can do in the housewares market: Very expressive styling creating a strong,
emotional appeal.
The Silit whistling kettle features a dark blue transparent
lip, which only reveals its true color when the lid is flipped open. On pouring,
the color is accentuated through the water.
The handle is positioned not far above the center of gravity, while being
protected from the body's heat or the steam when pouring.
The fondue is back in style!
The aim of the design was to add a new aesthetic touch to a traditional classic
and herald its comeback. The strong overall image comes from the play between
soft surfaces and strong vertical and horizontal lines.
Cheese graters can also be dynamic. Using cost-efficient
manufacture techniques, this grater offers multiple inserts and a style to
fit any modern kitchen.
Much of our work at TEAMS centers around ergonomics.
Even with simple tools there is often a way to introduce additional comfort
and ease-of-use, which not only adds style but can also aid people of lesser
dexterity.
What made this product work is the understanding the
ideal material for each particular use.
The overall look gives the impression of a very user-friendly, comfortable
feel product, and the ergonomically shaped handles confirm this perception.
Simplicity is often the key to making a product stand
out from the crowd.
These pots and pans have highest quality materials, and need to communicate
that feature without the use of labels or other clutter that would otherwise
make these products disappear on the shelf.
Typical of this line of Silit products, this lemon squeezer
is simple and elegant.
The 'Sicomatic' pressure cooker is Silit's most popular
item in Europe. This redesign is based upon improved technology and features
ideal ergonomics and safety.
A green indicator rises as the internal pressure builds up, and is eventually
covered by a red sleeve to indicate full pressure.
When pressure gradually returns to normal after cooking, the indicators sink
and the handle gets released to to turn and remove the lid.
